Gallery – Strong Women – Part 1

In Events by Charissa Balman12 Comments

Last night we were all blessed by 50 strong, courageous women who shared their stories online.

Each story was unique, brave and the common thread that got these women thru was family …. friends…. faith.

No one is an island we all need connection. The safe space we created was felt from South Africa – Canada – Finland – UK and Slovakia.

Stories inspire us, connect us, give us hope and heal us.

A big thank you to all who joined us and a special thank you to Phillipa Namutebi Kabali – Kagwa, Carmen Andries, Chantel Oelofse,

and Pippa Shaper.

To my great partner Trudy …. feeling full of gratitude.

Thank you for the space you create! To get inspired with stories of remarkable women who chose to not be defined by their past or circumstances. To thrive and not just survive 🌈

Thanks to Charissa and Trudy for all your efforts and hard work in putting Storylab on the map.
It is a remarkable concept and shows us all how we are not alone facing the problems that we have experienced and going through. By accepting our misfortunes and never giving up we become stronger and by sharing our stories we let go and give others the opportunity to have a better understanding of how resilient and powerful we really are.
Tuesday evening left me speechless and a lot to digest. It has shown me how important it is to have faith and to look on the brighter side of life. Many thanks again. Gilly Southwood

What an incredible evening of sharing and teaching us all the benefits of laying it on the line. Being open and vulnerable enough to share from the heart. We are so much stronger than we think and nothing is impossible with deep faith and the support of loyal friends.
I was deeply moved and so inspired.
Terrific evening in a relaxed safe atmosphere.
Thank you, Trudy and Charissa. Your work is invaluable. May He continue to bless you both.

Sjo! I really feel so deeply touched tonight by all these stories – and realizing each one of us carry deep loss – just once again reminding me just how very strong we really are to stand up and continue.
